Stay home summer

Ok, trying blogging on my phone. Let’s see how this goes! I’m not sure why blogging has become so overwhelming but it’s been low in my priorities for awhile now. Still, hard to shake the feeling that in a few years we will want to know what happened this year! Well, lots is happening actually…. Tom is on a train with Eliza in the way home from Laos right now after a great long weekend of prayer and bible study with Lao friends (Liza went along pretty much for the train ride!). I finished up my TESOL course this week and started teaching a few new students which I’m really enjoying. Once the kids head back to school I’ll be looking for more. The kids are enjoying summer a lot; it’s been great for them to be on a more relaxed schedule. The girls have been doing some babysitting ministry and all the kids are working on some life skills like laundry and typing and Thai. We’re also checking some fun activities off our summer bucket list, recently making soft pretzels with friends, making root beer floats, and watching Kung Fu Panda. It’s nice to have little fun things to look forward to. We’re saving up for vacationing with my parents when they come in October (can’t wait, mom and dad!). Well posting from the phone seemed to work great aside from the wildly different picture sizes. I’ll figure it out.
