Those of you who talked to Silas about what he was looking forward to about moving, know that celebrating his seventh birthday in Thailand was at the top of his list. 🙂 After all the anticipation, the big day finally arrived on a Sunday and he started out his day with breakfast in bed, followed by a big day at a water park. He was really into the big slides and wanted to go down over and over (wearing Daddy out!). For supper we had his usual request: mashed potatoes (with “sides” of fried chicken and broccoli ;)), while watching the movie Blue Planet: Oceans. Before dark, we gave him his new bike (poor boy waited a whole year after his last year’s birthday bike was stolen from our porch). It’s a folding bike that he can grow into for a long time- but he managed it really well and loved trying it out in our street. After that, we made paper airplanes and flew them through a target for points- fun!…and he opened his gifts and we had some airplane themed cake. It was such a fun day of celebrating our boy and we and so thankful that he’s a healthy and happy kid, flourishing in Thailand!
7th birthday…in Thailand!
