Trip home and New Years/Christmas Eve

Ugh. Stop taking pictures of me, Mom.

The trip home was long as always, but unexpectedly nice too. The kids spent many hours reading and playing games with their headphones on, leaving Tom and I to talk about lots of things- even secret Christmas plans! We enjoyed a frigid lunchtime stop in Grantsville for some yummy stromboli from Hey Pizza. We had a to take a picture of the girls’ because it was so huge but they scarfed it right down! Later, the sky was so beautiful- it was changing so quickly- we kept making the kids look at it. 🙂

The next day was regrouping from our trip. Tom did many loads of laundry and we shopped and cleaned and made food for our “little family” Christmas on New Years Day. The kids worked industriously on wrapping small gifts and making cards for each other and we wrapped up the day with watching a Charlie Brown Christmas. It felt good to be back home. Tom and I were the only ones to stay up, eating Chinese food and watching the ball drop. Happy 2015! DSC_0143 DSC_0146 DSC_0152 DSC_0158 DSC_0162 DSC_0166 DSC_0167
