“Little Family” Christmas

New Year’s Day was our little family Christmas. With the big gifts out of the way earlier in the month, we just planned a simple day of relaxing together- making our traditional lemon poppy seed muffins, reading the book we always read (The Nativity by Julie Vivas), opening stockings and the kids gifts to each other and giving homemade cards. Seeing how excited the kids are to give is so sweet. Later there was game playing and fajitas for supper- a very relaxing, cozy, quiet day at home. Love you, little family.

As always, my assistant in baking.

His new Dusty rescue plane with pontoons was immediately a prized possession. He’s can play with it for more than an hour at a time, making up stories.

The girls gave him antlers.

Mom and Dad- we had some more of the special drink with your grape juice and ginger ale- huge hit- the girls couldn’t get enough.
