Rhodes Christmas

As I told my parents in their Christmas card, these times are even more special knowing that we won’t experience them again for awhile. Storing them up! Martin and Sylvia were kind enough to host our huge gang at their house for the day (with “Christmas Eve” dinner taking place at a Chinese restaurant- forgot to take pics!). We missed Carmen and her family very much but were glad for the chance to skype with them and to receive the family calendar they designed. Let’s see…we ate so much good food, we spent a lot of time watching the little kids and babies play and be funny, Silas fell in love with the cat, the kids made snow dough with Aunt Rebekah, we played some games (because duh), the kids had a scavenger hunt, they put together MCC kits with Aunt Anita, Philip and Betsy read the Christmas story with original poetry by Betsy and a Thai angels c/o Tom, and we traded kid and couple gifts. Thanks for the wonderful time, Rhodeses!

We also had a lovely time staying with Mom and Dad- we had fun caroling for some older relatives, having drawing lessons, eating at Jess’s, going to Gypsy Hill Park to see lights and eat Klines ice cream, and just enjoying their food and company. Thanks, Dad and Mom! Thanks too, Anita and David, for a fun dinner at Five Guys (after scouring the town for Anita’s pregnancy craving- pho. Wah!) and lunch at your house (you have the coolest wood piles I’ve ever seen).  Oh and we had a lot of fun watching Little Women with all the ladies (including Claire and Eliza)- “that was good!”

Practicing for caroling – they didn’t wanted to sing Lo How a Rose Ere Blooming by themselves! 🙂

We looked at old family pictures for a long time one night. P and B are currently living upstairs at Mom and Dad’s.
