I’m really going to pack it into this post! Two weddings and a b’day all in a week and two weekends. 🙂 As soon as school let out for good, we jumped in the car and took off for Delaware. It felt so refreshing- almost therapeutic to all of us to be in the country and with our family again! We missed the grandparents and cousins so much- it was really good to be together and the kids had such a great time playing outdoors and with the animals.

Haha- E’s scared of Eagle, the rooster!
The beautiful outdoor wedding of Doug (Tom’s no-longer-little cousin) and Kelly.
*Thanks for the wedding picture stolen from Facebook, Melinda!
No pics of the rest (I was terrible with my camera that weekend) but we also enjoyed a boy cousin outing with Tom and Uncle Del to a car race at the Georgetown Speedway, preaching at Maranatha, Greenwood chicken picnic with the family at Gail’s house, and a fun outdoor b’day party for Tessa and Blake.
The day after we came home from Delaware, Silas re-created the car race on his bed complete with an easter egg “porta potty.”
We came home from DE on Monday night, had all day meetings at RMM (summer summit) Tuesday/Wednesday (Tom attended all and I attended parts- we got to see Dan again too!). The kids enjoyed tagging along to the RIC, reading and watching movies on the big screen and raiding the snack fridge! Thursday we took off for another wedding! Two very special people in our lives got married- what a happy day! Silas was pleased and proud as could be to be the ring bearer! He just loved dressing up and standing with Nixson! We couldn’t be happier that Rhonda and Nixson are a permanent couple and a long term part of our team in Thailand! We enjoyed an overnight cabin stay between the rehearsal and wedding and the fresh air of Amish country!
We got home late Friday night so my Saturday birthday starting with a nice long sleeping in. Then… breakfast at our awesome neighborhood diner (Nancy’s- a new b’day tradition in our family), Columbus Arts Festival and splash fountains, nap, sweet gifts and cards, my requested store-bought b’day cake, and late night Chinese with my honey. 38 is not so bad at all!
