The kids and I had so much fun getting ready for Easter- making a paint chip egg garland and dying eggs.
We had a breakfast and wonderful celebration with our church family. Eliza made this in Sunday School.
Instead of Easter baskets, this year we had Easter egg cartons! I loved the excuse to buy some tiny gifts from the antique shop (butterfly necklace, paper eggs, etc) and give a smaller amount of candy.
The girls and I made hot cross buns in the afternoon- a new, fun tradition we started last year.
In addition to the Easter egg hunt at church,we did a joint one with our neighbor. He’s an only child so he needed some egg hunting competition!
A bunny from the Easter carton joined our bunnies from Laos. I just thought this was cute sitting on the coffee table.
And we finished our day with a long walk/scooter/roller blading on the bike trail to see the daffodils at the Park of Roses, then had some soup and way too many hot cross buns.
Thank you, Jesus, for your death on the cross and giving us life with you! Thank you for spring!
