A very special time for our family during Conference was the baptism of Miss Eliza Grace. She had asked for baptism in July and we saw new spiritual growth in her life. We wanted to honor her request by baptizing her as soon as possible and we saw a unique opportunity during Conference when both sides of our family, as well as our pastor would be present. It was a glowy evening by Kishacoquillas Creek. Rob shared a meditation and encouraged Eliza to share her faith in school. Eliza shared her testimony and some memory work from Psalm 19 (ending, “may the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be pleasing in your sight, Oh Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer). Rob asked her questions about her commitment to Jesus and Tom and I dunked her in the icy water in the name of the Father, Son, and Spirit. Coming out of the water, she was embraced by her cousins, her aunts, uncles and grandparents and Uncle Jared lead some songs for us. It was such a great joy to witness our daughter entering God’s Kingdom and also to see her surrounded by such loving support. We feel so thankful that God has gotten hold of Eliza’s heart and pray that she always remembers that evening with a lot of joy!
