House Tour

For those of you not on facebook, here’s a peek at how the house is coming together. Its’ still a work in progress but starting to feel more like home!

Living room just inside the front door. Our main hangout place- happy for our comfy couch!

Some favorite art and objects from Thailand, Morocco, Ecuador, and Hong Kong.

My birthday clock from Tom.

Non-working fireplace/home of the tv. Artwork by Bethany Tobin.

I love this rainbow afghan that Tom’s Grandma made!

Doorway into the dining room.  I love these old wood floors and their creakiness. Impossible to sneak around!

Half of the dining room is office.

More dining room- learning our way around using the Columbus map. :). Carmen and Jason gifted us this wonderful rug!! Still deciding where it will end up.

Plates and bowls live in the dining room along with the special family pictures Dad printed for me.

My favorite one is Great- Grandma Dora holding a baby with the pitcher I got from Grandma.

Mom and Dad, I love eating at my table again!DSC_0087 DSC_0088 DSC_0092 DSC_0101

Si’s room.

A girly room for my girls who love dolls and books. Carmen got this desk out of storage (we used it as kids) so Claire could use it for a few years. She says it makes her feel like a real writer. The quilt at the end of the bed was made for Tom as an infant by his great grandmother.

My Grandma made the doll on the shelf for me.
