We had a WONDERFUL time in the U.S.  I will be doing more blog posts to recap our time in Delaware where we got hopelessly behind on blogging our trip. But in the meantime, here’s a picture of the kiddos in the hole in our house.  It has felt so good to unpack our suitcases after three months of living out of them and to be back in our own home. It’s bittersweet too as we miss the families we left behind again.  We LOVED our time with you!

Thanks to you guys who prayed for our trip. It was LONG as ever, we ate weird-to-us Japanese food, talked to a lot of chatty people in security lines, slept a lot, watched a lot of movies and GOT THROUGH IT! We got home at midnight on Sunday.

Now we are trying not to sleep the days away as we get over jetlag- and have been seeing each other multiple times each night (hopefully that won’t last long). We’re visiting some friends,  making some plans, unpacking, re-filling the empty fridge, mopping very dusty floors,  and getting geared up to start homeschool next week. We’re trying to get used to the overwhelming heat again- I forgot how smothery the afternoons are.  So thankful to be back to our life in Thailand.

  1. Glad you made it back safe and sound! I’ve enjoyed reading your posts about what you guys were able to do. It looks like it was a really fun trip! We had that way in July. I’m both excited and sad to leave here for a bit. Hope your jet-lag leaves soon!!

Ah, love those sweet kids! It was so good to have you here for a little while. I love the way your kids adapt so quickly to the people around them, even tho they don’t see much of us. May you feel God’s love in special ways this week!

Thanks, Brooke- I know you know a lot about jet-lag too! 🙂 I hope your July time is really sweet with your family and that the kids do great with all the transition. Bernie- we loved seeing you again too!
